How do you eat a chestnut?
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
2. Cut a small "X" in the flat side of each chestnut. This will help the shells to crack open during roasting.
3. Place the chestnuts in a single layer on a baking sheet.
4. Roast the chestnuts for 15-20 minutes, or until the shells are cracked open and the chestnuts are tender.
5. Let the chestnuts cool for a few minutes before peeling and eating. To peel a chestnut, simply use your fingers to remove the shell and the brown inner skin. The white, edible part of the chestnut should be underneath.
You can also use a knife to carefully cut open the chestnut and remove the center piece to eat it
