How long does raw beef stay fresh without being refrigerated?
Raw beef should not be left unrefrigerated for more than 2 hours, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Bacteria can multiply rapidly at temperatures between 40°F and 140°F, and raw beef is particularly susceptible to spoilage. Storing beef at room temperature for more than 2 hours can increase your risk of foodborne illness.
