How to make giblet gravy with no turkey?
You can't make traditional giblet gravy without turkey giblets! Giblets are the heart, liver, and gizzards of a turkey, which are the key ingredients in the classic gravy.
However, you can make a delicious gravy that mimics the flavor of giblet gravy using other ingredients:
Option 1: Mushroom and Chicken Liver Gravy
* Ingredients:
* 1 tablespoon olive oil
* 1 cup sliced mushrooms
* 1/2 cup chopped onion
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 1/4 cup chicken liver, chopped
* 1/4 cup dry sherry (optional)
* 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
* 2 cups chicken broth
* Salt and pepper to taste
* Instructions:
1. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
2. Add the mushrooms, onion, and garlic. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the chicken liver and sherry (if using). Cook for 1 minute more.
4. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
5. Gradually whisk in the chicken broth. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring constantly, until the gravy has thickened, about 5 minutes.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Option 2: Sage and Thyme Gravy

* 2 tablespoons butter
* 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
* 2 cups chicken broth
