Does crisp bacon have less fat than tender bacon--when both are cooked?
Crisp bacon does not have less fat than tender bacon after it has been cooked. During the cooking process, both types of bacon lose about 50% of the fat present in the uncooked strips. Therefore, the final difference is marginal to non-existent after both tender and crisp bacon have been cooked.
