How do you put down a blade in folding knife?
To safely put down the blade of a folding knife, follow these steps:
1. Make sure that the blade is locked: Before you begin folding the knife, ensure the blade is securely locked in place. This will prevent the blade from accidentally deploying while you're handling it.
2. Press the release button: Most folding knives have a release button or lever that unlocks the blade. This release button is usually located near the base of the knife or at the back of the handle. Press this release button to unlock the blade.
3. Fold the blade: Once the blade is unlocked, gently fold it back into the handle. Be sure to keep your fingers clear of the blade as you fold it. Some folding knives have a secondary lock that must be disengaged before folding the blade.
4. Ensure the knife is folded securely: Once the blade is folded, check that it is securely closed and locked in place. Some knives may have a liner lock or frame lock that must be engaged to secure the blade.
