Is it ok to eat raw pork?
No, it is not safe to eat raw pork.
Pork can contain a parasite called Trichinella spiralis, which can cause the disease trichinosis. This parasite can only be killed by cooking pork to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
Eating raw pork can also expose you to other harmful bacteria, such as Salmonella and E. coli, which can cause food poisoning.
Therefore, it is strongly recommended to always cook pork thoroughly before eating it.
