Why are bullocks used for meat?
Bullocks are not commonly used for meat production. Instead, they are primarily employed for agricultural purposes, such as plowing fields, pulling carts, and other farm tasks. Their strength and endurance make them well-suited for these activities.
Beef cattle, on the other hand, are specifically raised for meat production. These cattle breeds have been selectively bred to maximize meat yield, tenderness, and flavor. They are typically managed in large-scale farming operations and fed a specialized diet to optimize their growth and meat quality.
While bullocks may occasionally be used for meat, they are not the primary source of beef in the meat industry. Their primary role remains in supporting agricultural activities.
