Where does meat come from?
Meat comes from animals. Animals are raised on farms for the purpose of producing meat, milk, and eggs. The most common meat animals are cattle, pigs, sheep, and chickens. These animals are raised in large numbers and are fed a diet that is specifically designed to promote growth. Once the animals reach a certain weight, they are slaughtered and their meat is processed and sold to consumers.
