Are a Delmonico steak the same thing as rib eye?
Delmonico steak and rib eye steak are both delicious and popular steaks. However, they are not the same thing.
Delmonico steak
The Delmonico steak is a cut from the short loin, which is the area between the ribs and the hip. It is similar to a strip steak, but it is typically thicker. Delmonico steaks are known for their tenderness, flavor, and juicy texture.
Rib eye steak
The rib eye steak is cut from the rib section, and it includes the rib bone. Rib eye steaks are known for their rich, beefy flavor and their marbling, which makes them very tender and juicy.
So, while Delmonico steaks and rib eye steaks are both excellent choices for a delicious steak dinner, they are not the same cut of meat.
