Can you refreeze meat that has been frozen and cooked?
No, you should not refreeze meat that has been frozen and cooked. Once meat has been cooked and cooled, and then frozen as leftovers to be cooked at another time, it should be discarded after thawing in the refrigerator (within three to four days) or during overnight thawing in cold water. Never thaw frozen food at room temperature.
Freezing and cooking meat more than once can create ideal environments for harmful bacteria to multiply, leading to possible foodborne illness.
