How to Make Grilled Corn on the Cob (11 Steps)
Grilled corn on the cob is delicious and moist, and it's a great addition to any barbecue menu. This method will show you how to make the recipe using corn in its husk.
Things You'll Need
- Corn in or without the husks
- Salt
- Pepper
- Butter
- Water
- Seasonings
- Aluminum foil
- Corn with or without husks
- Large bowl
- Grill
Instructions
-
Remove loose pieces of husk and cut excess silk from each corn cob.
-
Put all of the corn cobs in a large bowl of water and let them soak for 15 minutes to provide moisture for cooking (it will evaporate as the corn cooks).
-
Prepare your grill while the corn soaks.
-
Remove the corn and shake gently to remove excess water.
-
Put the corn on the grill and cover.
-
Turn the corn every 5 to 15 minutes depending on how hot your grill is.
-
Test to see if the corn is ready by sticking a fork into the kernels when the husks are charred and dry. Cooked kernels will be soft and the fork will slide in easily.
-
Use tongs to remove the corn from the grill.
-
Hold one end of the corn with a towel and peel the silk and leaves away.
-
Rinse the corn in warm water to remove ash and silk.
-
Season and enjoy!
