How do you keep a cake sifter from rust after sifting?
A cake sifter is usually made of metal, which can rust if not properly cared for. To prevent rust, it is important to dry the sifter thoroughly after each use. This can be done by shaking the sifter vigorously or by using a paper towel to wipe away any moisture. Additionally, it is a good idea to store the sifter in a dry place, such as a kitchen cabinet or pantry. If the sifter does begin to rust, it can be cleaned with a mixture of baking soda and water. To do this, make a paste by mixing equal parts baking soda and water. Apply the paste to the sifter and rub it in with a soft cloth. Rinse the sifter thoroughly with water and dry it immediately.
