Eatwell Plate Proportions
* Fruit and vegetables – 1/3 of the plate
* Potatoes, bread, rice, pasta and other starchy carbohydrates – 1/3 of the plate
* Meat, fish, eggs, beans and other sources of non-dairy protein – 1/6 of the plate
* Dairy and alternatives – 1/6 of the plate
* Foods high in saturated fat and/or sugar should be limited – no more than one small portion a day
