How to Make Hooters Chicken Wings
Love the taste of Hooters buffalo wings but don't have the funds or access to Hooters to eat out a lot? You can make their famous wings right in your home.
Things You'll Need
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup Louisiana hot sauce
- 1 dash pepper
- 1 dash garlic powder
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 10 chicken wings
- Blue cheese salad dressing
- Celery
- vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
-
In a medium bowl, combine flour, paprika, salt and cayenne pepper.
-
Place the defrosted or fresh wings in the bowl and gently coat each one evenly.
-
Place the bowl of wings in the refrigerator for 60 to 90 minutes to help the mixture stick to the wings during frying.
-
Heat oil to 375 degrees in a deep fryer or deep pan. The oil should just cover the wings when they go in, so use at least an inch or two.
-
In a small pan, mix hot sauce, butter, pepper and garlic powder. Mix over low heat until the butter is melted and the sauce is mixed well.
-
Place all of the wings in the oil and fry for 10 to 15 minutes until some part of the wings turn a dark brown. Remove from heat and blot on paper towels to remove excess oil.
-
In a large covered container, place the sauce and the wings. Shake to coat evenly.
-
Serve with sauce on the side, blue cheese dressing and celery sticks.
