How long is refrigerated sliced turkey good for?
According to the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture), unopened packages of refrigerated sliced turkey can last for 5 to 7 days in the refrigerator. Sliced turkey that has been opened can be stored in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days.
If you are not planning on eating the sliced turkey within this timeframe, it is best to freeze it. Frozen sliced turkey can be stored in the freezer for up to 2 months. To thaw frozen sliced turkey, place it in the refrigerator overnight or under cold running water for a few hours.
Never leave sliced turkey out at room temperature for more than 2 hours, as this can lead to the growth of harmful bacteria.
