How to Make Tuna Sashimi at Home (6 Steps)
Tuna sashimi may sound like a complicated recipe that you would never attempt to make yourself. But it isn't as hard as it sounds — as long as you have the specialty ingredients needed and very high-quality tuna, you can make this tasty Japanese treat at home for less than you would spend at a sushi restaurant.
Things You'll Need
- 1/2 lb. high-quality tuna
- 1/2 tbsp. sesame seeds
- Salt, to taste
- 1/4 cup radishes
- Scallions
- 1/2 cup ponzu sauce
- 1 12 tbsp. hot chili oil
Instructions

Using a very sharp knife, cut the tuna in thin chunks. Place the tune slices on a serving platter or plate.

Season the tuna slices with sesame seeds and salt according to personal taste.

Thinly slice the radishes and scallions. Place them in a bowl and toss.

Bring the chili oil and ponzu sauce to a boil in a saucepan.

Pour the sauce over each serving of tuna.
