How do you cook a pork loin so it just pulls apart?
Slow-Cooked Pulled Pork Loin
Ingredients:
* 1 (2-3 pound) pork loin, trimmed of excess fat
* 1 tablespoon olive oil
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
* 1 cup chicken broth
* 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
* 1/4 cup brown sugar
* 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
* 1 teaspoon dried oregano
* 1 teaspoon dried thyme
* 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
* 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
3. Season the pork loin with salt and pepper.
4. Sear the pork loin in the skillet until browned on all sides.
5. Transfer the pork loin to a large slow cooker.
6. In a bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, thyme, garlic powder, and onion powder.
7. Pour the sauce over the pork loin in the slow cooker.
8. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the pork loin is tender and easily pulls apart.
9. Serve immediately.
Tips:
* To make a pulled pork sandwich, shred the pork loin with two forks and serve on a toasted bun with your favorite toppings.
* For a heartier meal, serve the pulled pork loin with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or rice.
* Leftover pulled pork loin can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
