What is a recipe for pasta?
Here is a simple recipe for pasta:
Ingredients:
- 1 pound spaghetti or other long pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 (28-ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions, until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
3. Add the diced tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Cook for 10-15 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
4. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Stir in the chopped basil.
6. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese on top.
