How long do i cook a nine pound beef brisket in oven and at what temp?
Cooking time: approximately 4 hours
Oven temperature: 275°F (135°C)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 275°F (135°C).
2. Trim excess fat from the brisket.
3. Season the brisket with salt, pepper, and your desired spices and rub.
4. Place the brisket in a large roasting pan or Dutch oven, fat-side up.
5. Add 1-2 cups of liquid (such as beef broth, water, or red wine) to the pan.
6. Cover the pan tightly with foil.
7. Bake the brisket for approximately 4 hours, or until the meat reaches an internal temperature of 200°F (93°C).
8. Let the brisket rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.
