If you brown chicken but not cook it all the way through can put back in refrigerator overnight before cooking way?
It's not recommended to brown chicken and then refrigerate it uncooked overnight. Here's why:
* Bacteria growth: When raw chicken is left at room temperature (even for a short time while browning), bacteria can multiply rapidly. Refrigeration slows down this process, but it doesn't stop it completely.
* Food safety risk: Leaving partially cooked chicken in the refrigerator for an extended period increases the risk of foodborne illness.
What to do instead:
* Cook the chicken immediately: If you brown the chicken, cook it all the way through immediately and refrigerate it once it's cooled down.
* Brown it later: If you're planning to cook the chicken later, brown it right before you cook it. This will still give you delicious flavor without the risk of bacterial growth.
Important note: Always follow proper food safety guidelines when handling raw chicken. Wash your hands, utensils, and surfaces thoroughly with hot soapy water after contact.
