How long can chicken broth be at room temperature?

According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), chicken broth can be left at room temperature for up to 2 hours. After that, it should be refrigerated to prevent the growth of bacteria. If the chicken broth is left at room temperature for more than 2 hours, it should be discarded.
