What country does a chicken casserole originate from?
The earliest known recipes for what we now know as a chicken casserole originated in France during the 18th century. These early recipes were called daube de volaille and were made with chicken, vegetables, and a sauce made from white wine, broth, and cream. The dish was often served over rice or noodles.
