Is skim milk and low fat the same thing?
Skim milk and low fat are not the same thing. Skim milk has had almost all of the fat removed during processing, resulting in a milk with less than 0.5% fat. On the other hand, low fat milk typically has 1% or 2% fat content, which is lower than whole milk but still significantly higher than skim milk.
