How to Cook Brussels Sprouts on the Grill
Brussels sprouts are a healthy vegetable, but not always a party favorite. Cook them with salt and olive oil to make a tasty alternative to french fries for people to try and enjoy. This dish is a perfect complement to any type of main dish, such as grilled chicken breast, burgers, and BBQ. While you can steam or boil Brussels sprouts, prepare them on the outdoor grill for a change of pace.
Things You'll Need
- Aluminum foil
- 1/4 cup water
- Sharp knife
- 3 Tablespoons olive oil
- Sea salt
Instructions
-
Clean the Brussels sprouts with water. Remove any dirty leaves. Cut each sprout in half. Allow the Brussels sprouts to soak in a bowl of water for one hour.
-
Drain the water. Return the Brussels sprouts to the bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of olive oil and sprinkle generously with sea salt. Squeeze the juice of one small lemon over the sprouts.
-
Place the Brussels sprouts on a large sheet of aluminum foil. Fold the tin foil over the sides of the sprouts. Seal at the top and both sides of the square to form a tin foil packet.
-
Place the tin foil packet on a hot grill (charcoal, gas, or electric) for 10 minutes or until the sprouts are tender when pressed with a fork at the base.
