How to Blend a Green Smoothie With Spinach (5 Steps)

Drinking a green smoothie does not have to be a trying ordeal. Spinach is a mild green that takes on the taste of the fruit in the recipe. This version uses a banana and a pear.

Things You'll Need

  • 2 cups of baby spinach
  • 1 banana
  • 1 ripe pear
  • 3 frozen strawberries
  • Splenda to taste

Instructions

  1. Press the spinach into the bottom of the blender. Breaking the leaves is not a problem as they will be blended into the smoothie.

  2. Smash the banana and place it on top of the spinach.

  3. Cut the pear and take out the seeds. Add the frozen berries and a pinch of Splenda.

  4. Add at least 2 cups of water. The water level should reach the top of the fruit.

  5. Blend for 2 to 3 minutes.
