How to Make a Negroni Cocktail

The Negroni cocktail is a classic drink whose history is a little less than certain. Most believe that the Negroni cocktail was invented in 1919 at Caffè Casoni in Venice, Italy by Count Camillo Negroni. He reportedly asked the bartender to make his regular drink, the Americano, stronger by using gin instead of club soda. The cocktail was sold pre-mixed in the years to follow and the drink has since become a mainstay of any reputable bartender’s repertoire. This recipe makes two Negroni cocktails.
