How do you make round table pizza?
You can't technically make "Round Table Pizza" - that's the name of a pizza chain!
However, you can definitely make delicious pizza at home. Here's a basic recipe:
Ingredients:
* Dough:
* 1 cup warm water (105-115°F)
* 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
* 1 teaspoon sugar
* 1 tablespoon olive oil
* 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
* 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
* Sauce:
* 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 1 teaspoon dried oregano
* 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
* Toppings:
* 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
* Your favorite toppings (pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, olives, etc.)
Instructions:
1. Make the dough:
* In a large bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let stand for 5 minutes, or until the yeast is foamy.
* Add the olive oil, salt, and 1 1/2 cups of flour. Mix with a wooden spoon until a dough forms.
* Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes, adding more flour as needed, until the dough is smooth and elastic.
* Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, turning to coat all sides. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
2. Make the sauce:
* In a saucepan, combine the crushed tomatoes, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Assemble the pizza:
* Preheat oven to 450°F.
* Punch down the dough and divide it in half. Roll out each half into a 12-inch circle.
* Place each dough circle on a baking sheet or pizza stone. Spread with sauce, leaving a 1/2-inch border.
* Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and your favorite toppings.
4. Bake the pizza:
* Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
5. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Tips:
* To make a thicker crust, use more flour.
* You can also use store-bought pizza dough.
* Get creative with your toppings!
* Don't overcrowd the pizza with toppings.
* Don't overbake the pizza, as this will make the crust dry and hard.
Enjoy your delicious homemade pizza! 🍕
