Where was ice cream first eaten?

The earliest evidence of people eating ice cream comes from China during the Tang dynasty (618-907 AD). During this time, a dessert made from milk and ice called "shui bing" was popular. This dessert was made by freezing a mixture of milk, cream, and sugar, then cutting it into pieces and serving it. The Chinese also used ice cream as a medicine to treat heat-related illnesses.
