How to Make a Snickerdoodle Cookie With a Cake Mix

Cinnamon sprinkled snickerdoodles are an old-fashioned treat that are especially popular around the holidays. Baking them with cake mix reduces the number of ingredients required and makes it faster and easier to enjoy fresh, homemade snickerdoodles.

Things You'll Need

  • 1 box yellow cake mix 2 eggs 1/3 cup vegetable oil ½ cup sugar 2 tsp. vanilla extract 2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

  2. Mix together the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil and vanilla extract.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon.

  4. Form 1-inch balls from cookie dough batter and roll them in the cinnamon sugar mix.

  5. Place cookie dough balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake them for 8 to 10 minutes. The cookies should be soft and light brown.

  6. Remove cookies from baking sheet after 5 minutes and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
