What is a quick and easy recipe for oden?
Ingredients:
* 1 package of konjac balls
* 1 package of daikon radish, cut into thick rounds
* 1 package of carrots, cut into thick rounds
* 1/2 cup of soy sauce
* 1/2 cup of mirin
* 1/2 cup of dashi broth
* 1 tablespoon of sugar
* 1 teaspoon of salt
* 1 tablespoon of katsuobushi (bonito flakes)
* 1 teaspoon of shichimi togarashi (seven spice powder)
Instructions:
1. In a large pot, combine the soy sauce, mirin, dashi broth, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
2. Add the konjac balls, daikon radish, and carrots to the pot. Bring to a boil again, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
3. Add the katsuobushi and shichimi togarashi to the pot. Stir to combine, then serve immediately.
Tips:
* If you don't have time to make your own dashi broth, you can use store-bought dashi powder instead.
* Oden can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
