How do you get motor oil off a cooking pan and Is it safe to cook food in again?
To remove motor oil from a cooking pan, follow these steps:
1. Remove the pan from the heat. If the pan is still hot, let it cool down completely before proceeding.
2. Scrape off any excess oil. Use a spoon or spatula to scrape off as much of the motor oil as possible.
3. Blot up the remaining oil. Use a paper towel to blot up any remaining motor oil.
4. Wash the pan with hot soapy water. Add a few drops of dish soap to a sink of hot water and then submerge the pan in the water. Use a sponge or dishcloth to scrub the pan clean.
5. Rinse the pan thoroughly. Rinse the pan thoroughly with hot water to remove all traces of soap.
6. Dry the pan. Dry the pan completely with a clean towel.
Once the pan is clean and dry, it is safe to use again for cooking.
How to clean the pan if soap and water did not remove it fully :
1. Fill the pan with enough water to cover the bottom.
2. Add white vinegar.
3. Boil for 15 minutes to loosen hardened food. Wash with soap and rinse well after to get rid of the unpleasant vinegar smell.
