How to toast pumpkin seeds (5 Steps)
This Halloween when you are carving your jack 0 lanterns and making your scary faces be sure to save the pumpkin seeds. Instead of tossing them create a tasty and healthy snack.
Things You'll Need
- Pumpkin
- Knife
- Spoon
- Bowl
- Cookie sheet
- Stick butter
- salt (Seasoning salt)
Instructions

Start carving pumkin with knife and spoon. Save all the internal guts of the pumkin. Throw away the larger pieces of and start placing seed into a bowl.

Add 2 tsp. of butter into a bowl and microwave to 10-15 seconds until melted.

Once butter is melted add seeds to bowl and stir so seeds have fine coat of butter on them. At this time preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Place all seeds on cookie sheet and spread out evenly so minimal amount are touching eachother. Add light coat of salt (Seasoning salt is a great alternative) to the seeds.

Set timer for 35 minutes occasionally stiring seeds during this process. If you want half way take out and add more salt. Once the seed are goldent brown take out and allow to cool.
