My quick rise packet said best if used by November 2008 is it still okay to use for pizza dough?
The quick rise packet may still be usable, but the resulting dough may not rise as well as it would with fresher yeast. You can test the yeast by mixing a small amount of it with warm water and sugar. If the mixture begins to foam after a few minutes, the yeast is still active and can be used. Otherwise, it is best to discard the yeast and use a fresh packet.
