How do you make tomato paste out of sauce?

Ingredients:

- 4 cups tomato sauce

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil

Instructions:

1.) In a large pot or saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium-low heat.

2.) Add the tomato sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and basil.

3.) Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 45 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and reduced by about half.

4.) Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.

5.) Transfer the sauce to a food processor or blender and puree until smooth.

6.) Store the tomato paste in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
