Where can one find a good Caesar Salad recipe?
Here is a recipe to prepare a classic Caesar Salad.
Ingredients:
- Romaine lettuce (2 heads)
- Caesar dressing (or make your own using the recipe below)
- Croutons
- Grated Parmesan cheese
Caesar Dressing Recipe:
- 1 raw egg yolk
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 anchovy fillet (optional)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Rinse and dry the romaine lettuce. Tear into bite-sized pieces and place in a large salad bowl.
- To make the Caesar dressing, combine egg yolk, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and anchovy fillet (optional) in a blender. Blend until smooth.
- With the blender running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil and vegetable oil until the dressing is thick and creamy.
- Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste. Blend again to combine.
- Pour the Caesar dressing over the romaine lettuce in the salad bowl. Toss gently to coat the lettuce.
- Add croutons and grated Parmesan cheese to taste. Toss again to combine.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your Caesar Salad!
