Can you make a potato run toy car?
Materials:
* 1 potato
* 4 wooden skewers
* 1 rubber band
* 1 pencil
* 1 piece of cardboard
Instructions:
1. Cut the potato in half lengthwise.
2. Push the wooden skewers into the potato halves, one skewer in each end.
3. Place the rubber band around the middle of the potato, holding the two halves together.
4. Push the pencil through the rubber band and into the potato, creating a hole.
5. Cut a piece of cardboard into a circle, about 4 inches in diameter.
6. Place the cardboard circle over the hole in the potato.
7. Push the pencil through the cardboard circle and into the potato, securing it in place.
To use the toy car:
1. Hold the pencil and pull the toy car back.
2. When you let go, the toy car will race forward.
Tips:
* Use a pencil with a sharp point for best results.
* Cut the cardboard circle slightly larger than the hole in the potato so that it fits snugly.
* If the toy car doesn't roll smoothly, try adjusting the position of the rubber band and/or the cardboard circle.
