How to Make Teriyaki Jerky

Teriyaki sauce is a Japanese seasoning that combines sweet and salty flavors. As a jerky marinade, it's very versatile and blends well with the taste of venison, turkey or beef.

Things You'll Need

  • Teriyaki marinade
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Sliced meat
  • Dehydrator

Instructions

  1. Slice the meat no thicker than 1/4 inch. Trim off all the fat. You can make strips or pieces.

  2. Prepare the jerky marinade in a large bowl by combining 3 parts teriyaki sauce and 1 part Worcestershire sauce. Mix well. You will need enough to cover all the meat.

  3. Place the meat pieces into the marinade. Cover with a lid, and chill for at least eight hours. Turn the meat about halfway through the marinating process.

  4. Place the meat into the dehydrator, leaving a small space between each piece, and cook for about 12 to 24 hours, depending on the thickness of the cuts. If you have a stackable dehydrator, rotate the stacks about halfway through the process.
