How to Make Roasted Peanuts Taste Better (9 Steps)
Peanuts are not true nuts but a member of the legume family along with peas and beans. These tasty snacks contain loads of vitamin E, B3 and folate. One way to prepare these legumes is to roast them. Add flavor to plain roasted peanuts by soaking the peanuts overnight before preparing them. During a good soak, the peanuts will absorb the liquid, imbuing them with a deeper flavor profile. Raw peanuts contain enzymes that make some people's stomachs ache so be sure to always cook them.
Things You'll Need
- 4 cups raw peanuts
- 1 tbsp. sea salt
- Large pot
- Baking sheet
- Oven mitts
- Glass or plastic containers with lids
Instructions
-
Pour 4 cups raw peanuts in the shell into a large pot.

-
Pour the roasted peanuts into a plastic or glass container and secure the lid until you are ready to eat them.
