What food do lions eat in summer?
Lions don't have a special summer diet. Their food choices remain the same regardless of the season. They are primarily carnivores and their diet consists of:
* Large mammals: Their main prey includes zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, giraffes, and even elephants, especially young ones.
* Smaller animals: They also eat gazelles, antelopes, warthogs, and other animals they can hunt.
* Carrion: They will scavenge on carcasses left behind by other predators or natural deaths.
The availability of prey can fluctuate throughout the year depending on the region and the migration patterns of animals, but lions will adapt to the available food sources.
