Will a Alligator GAR eat people?

The Alligator Gar (Atractosteus spatula) is one of the largest freshwater fish globally and has a fearsome reputation. However, while it indeed may attack people, fatal encounters is incredibly rare. There have been instances where individuals have been injured by the Gar's powerful jaws and rows of sharp teeth, but fatalities resulting from Alligator Gar attacks are extraordinarily uncommon.
