Can you microwave wine to kill the leftover yeast?
Microwaving wine will not effectively kill all leftover yeast. While microwaving can generate heat, the temperature and timing required to reliably kill active yeast cells without spoiling the wine can be difficult to control. Some strains of yeast can survive extreme conditions and could even multiply rapidly if the microwave cycle creates a favorable environment.
