What spices do you put on a turkey?

There are many different ways to season a turkey, but some common spices include:

- Salt and pepper

- Garlic powder

- Onion powder

- Paprika

- Thyme

- Sage

- Rosemary

- Marjoram

- Cloves

- Nutmeg

- Allspice

- Cinnamon

- Cayenne pepper

You can also add other herbs and spices to your turkey seasoning mix, such as parsley, cilantro, mint, or oregano. Be sure to taste the seasoning mix before you apply it to the turkey to make sure it's to your liking.

Here is a basic recipe for a turkey seasoning mix:

- 1 tablespoon salt

- 1 tablespoon black pepper

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1 teaspoon onion powder

- 1 teaspoon paprika

- 1 teaspoon thyme

- 1 teaspoon sage

- 1/2 teaspoon rosemary

- 1/2 teaspoon marjoram

- 1/4 teaspoon cloves

- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

- 1/4 teaspoon allspice

- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Mix all of the ingredients together in a small bowl. Rub the seasoning mix all over the turkey, inside and out. Cover the turkey and refrigerate for at least 24 hours, or up to 3 days.

When you're ready to cook the turkey, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Roast the turkey for 13-15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
