How long can you leave ground turkey out?
According to the USDA, ground turkey should not be left out at room temperature for more than 2 hours. After 2 hours, the ground turkey should be discarded or refrigerated. This is because ground turkey is a perishable food that can easily become contaminated with bacteria. Bacteria can grow rapidly at room temperature, and this can lead to foodborne illness.
