How much boiling water to cook qaurter pound dry pasta?
You generally don't need to measure the amount of water for cooking pasta. The key is to have enough water to cover the pasta with at least 2 inches of space. This allows the pasta to cook evenly and prevents sticking.
Here's a general rule of thumb:
* For a quarter pound of dry pasta, use about 4-6 cups of water.
Keep in mind that this is just a guideline. You can adjust the amount of water based on the size and shape of your pot.
Important note: Always use a large pot for cooking pasta to prevent overflow when the water boils.
