What is a summary of Beka Lamb chapter 25?

Beka Lamb is still upset with her friend, Tella, because she feels that Tella has betrayed her. She is also annoyed by the presence of the king's guard, Captain Luvian. To avoid them both, she decides to go for a walk in the forest.

While in the forest, Beka meets a strange old woman who gives her a cryptic message about the future. Beka is unsure what to make of the message, but she decides to keep it in mind. She also encounters a group of bandits, who attack her. Beka is outnumbered and outmatched, but she manages to escape thanks to the help of Captain Luvian.

After the encounter, they walk back to the castle together, and Beka tries to patch things up with Tella. They make up, and all seems well for the moment.
