Can steak be unfrozen then refrozen?
It is not recommended to unfreeze and then refreeze steak. When meat is frozen, the ice crystals can damage the cell walls, and when it is thawed, the juices can leak out, resulting in a loss of flavor and tenderness. Refrozen meat may also be more susceptible to bacterial growth. For best results, it is best to use meat within one to two days of thawing.
