When cooking a steak what is considered rare?
When it comes to steaks, "rare" refers to steak cooked for a very short time period resulting in mostly red, uncooked flesh from edge to edge inside the steak.
In terms of internal temperature. For a steak considered 'rare' its internal temperature will read near 125°F when inserted with a meat thermometer.
