How to Cook Frozen Beef Patties in a Frying Pan
Frozen beef patties cook well straight from the frozen state in a stovetop skillet. The patties defrost as they cook so they don't fall apart during thawing. Like all ground meat, it's vital to cook the burgers to a safe internal temperature, which takes a few minutes longer when they start out frozen. Using the correct method and monitoring the temperature cooks the burgers through without drying them out or burning them.

Preheat a skillet over medium-high. Coat the pan with a thin layer of oil so the frozen patties don't stick as they begin to thaw.

Add the burgers to the pan when it it's hot enough to sizzle. Lay them in a single layer, leaving 1 inch of space between the patties.

Cook the burgers for approximately 4 to 5 minutes on one side, or until it browns.

Flip the burger and cook an additional 4 to 5 minutes. Season the cooked side with salt, cracked pepper, dried garlic or your preferred herb after flipping.

Insert a meat thermometer into the patty. Serve the patties when they reach an minimum internal temperature of 155 degrees Fahrenheit.
