What is a chippy whippy?
Chippy whippy is a term used in Australia and New Zealand to describe a type of frozen dessert similar to soft serve ice cream. It is usually made with a vanilla flavoured ice cream base that is mixed with chocolate.
It's popular as a cheap treat for children and adults due to it's relatively low price.
They can often purchased from milk bars, fish and chip shops, burger vans, ice cream vans and at other takeaway food stores throughout New Zealand and Australia.
