Why chicken considered meat?
Chickens are considered meat because they are animals that are raised and slaughtered for human consumption. Here's why:
* Muscular tissue: Like all animals, chickens have muscle tissue. This is the primary part of the chicken that we eat.
* Dietary protein: Chicken is a source of protein, which is an essential nutrient for humans.
* Culinary use: Chicken is used in a wide variety of dishes around the world, from roasts and stir-fries to soups and sandwiches.
* Cultural norms: In many cultures, eating chicken is considered a normal and acceptable part of the diet.
While chickens are birds, they are not considered "poultry" in a scientific sense. The term "poultry" is more of a culinary term that encompasses various birds raised for food.
So, while chickens are birds, their use as a food source is why we consider them meat.
